HOOPP Awards East Port’s Commitment to the Environment Four Years in a Row
Bluefrog 130 wins prestigious award for the fourth time.

Bluefrog 130 was honoured again this year as the leader in low energy use by Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
HOOPP’s LEAP awards, recognizing leaders in environmental sustainability, were handed out in May at the HOOPP award ceremony in Toronto, following the Leadership in Environment Advancement Program (LEAP) Conference.
This is the fourth year in a row that Bluefrog 130, located in the Bluefrog Business Campus in Dartmouth, NS, has won in the ‘Building Performance, Low Energy Leader – Medium Building’ category.
“We are pleased to be able to hold on to this award for the fourth year in a row, as all the other buildings in the portfolio continue to make gains on reducing their energy use through upgrades and other operational adjustments,” said Judy Wall, President, East Port Properties. “The challenge and opportunity becomes how to keep creating new ways to save both energy and therefore operating costs for our tenants.”
Bluefrog 130 is one of four low-rise buildings in the Bluefrog Business Campus built for and around people – with daylighting, superior indoor air quality, efficient energy use inside the buildings, surrounded by walking trails, wildlife, lakes, and a community garden on the grounds of the Campus.
