409 Wilkinson Avenue is targeting the Zero Carbon Building Design Certification from the CaGBC. It will feature a tight and well-insulated building envelope, energy recovery ventilation, and a central in-floor heating system supplied by air-to-water heat pumps. A solar PV system offsets the cost of the base building heating system. In addition, the buildings are equipped with solera windows and skylights for daylighting, LED lights with motion sensors, the use of automation, to operate efficient ventilation systems.
